Karen Peachey, M.A. Plan
Principal and Chief Operating Officer
Karen is co-founder, co-owner and COO of Access Planning. To her role as COO, she brings over twenty-five years of hands-on experience as a professional planner, listening to and working collaboratively with clients to develop tailored planning and development approaches. This practitioner’s lens has been invaluable to building a company calibrated to the values and practical needs of clients and the Access team.
Karen has worked extensively with First Nations, local governments, and the not-for-profit sector on a wide range of projects including business plans, community economic development plans and projects, conservation investments, and reconciliation initiatives.
She has deep experience in business processes, managing projects, facilitating groups, building engagement, and teaching and training, including instructing classes at Simon Fraser University, Seabird Island College, and the Native Education Centre.
Karen has an M.A. Planning from the School of Community and Regional Planning at the University of British Columbia (UBC).
