Sophie is a skilled planner and visual communicator, dedicated to achieving sustainable mobility solutions across diverse urban environments. She is driven by the belief that better transportation systems can have transformative impacts on people and communities.
At Access, Sophie’s work encompasses strategic planning, policy development, and transit network development and operations. Her portfolio includes creating strategic plans for parking management, mobility hub networks, transit station areas, and neighbourhood development. She thrives in collaborative, diverse teams that challenge her to approach tasks from different perspectives.
Before joining Access in 2021, Sophie worked on a range of planning projects including municipal legislation, real estate development, and environmental planning. Her previous roles in the Montréal and Vancouver areas covered the entire planning lifecycle, from provincial policy development to municipal bylaw application, providing her with a robust understanding of key stakeholders' interests and practices.
Sophie holds a Master of Community and Regional Planning from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning from l'Université du Québec à Montréal. She is a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) with the Ontario Professional Planners Institute and a Certified member of the Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP).
