Lisa Salsberg, BA, MBA

Principal

Lisa is a strategic policy and planning professional with 30 years of experience in transit, transportation and regional planning. She brings technical knowledge together with strength in developing processes that engage stakeholders in multi-faceted public policy challenges.

Based in Toronto, Lisa leads strategic transportation planning and policy, regional integration, transportation governance, and stakeholder engagement projects. At Access, she has provided strategy guidance on the regional transportation plans of all three of Canada’s largest Metropolitan areas – Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal. She has advised on regional transit governance in Ontario and the San Francisco Bay area, led the development of the strategic parking policies for the City of Toronto, and advised Canada’s largest airport on opportunities to increase transit access and ridership in the context of a highly congested and fast-growing region.

Her career includes 25 years of public service in Ontario at the municipal, regional and provincial levels, including 10 years with Metrolinx where she led the regional transportation planning team and the development of the 2041 Regional Transportation Plan. Previously, she held leadership roles at the Ontario Ministry of Public Infrastructure Renewal, the Ministry of Transportation, and the City of Toronto.

Lisa holds a BA in Geography from McGill University and an MBA from the University of Toronto. In 2024, she was awarded the Transportation Association of Canada Distinguished Service Award.
