Senior Consultant

Brian is a senior transportation planner with over 37 years of experience leading a range of initiatives from network visioning to system design and implementation for multi-modal networks across North America.

His work has included leadership roles in developing: regional, integrated, and multimodal transportation strategies; regional transportation plans; design and implementation of complex multimodal transit systems; transit conceptual, service and schedule design for rail and bus networks; full service optimization programs to increase ridership and customer satisfaction; development and application of service guidelines and standards; transit fleet and facility planning; and transit-oriented development planning.

Brian has strong experience facilitating diverse groups, developing policy, advising on organizational governance and structure, and coaching leaders as well as planning and implementing transit in large urban regions under various service delivery models with a focus on achieving long-term goals. Notably, he led the design of Metro Vancouver’s regional transit network, widely recognized as a leader and innovator in North America. He is a Certified Management Consultant (Fellow) committed to CMC-Canada’s Uniform Code of Professional Conduct.
