Stephan brings 30 years of experience in both the private and public rail transit sector with 4 years at Metrolinx in Toronto where he led the design and implementation team for the Union-Pearson Express project as Director.

His rail transit implementation experience spans over 10 years with work accomplished at various stages of project development, design and implementation from the Surrey LRT under Translink (Vancouver), the Hamilton LRT in Ontario, rail design and implementation for the Reims Tram System in France and the Canada Line in Vancouver. 

This experience includes rapid transit and roadway design from planning through to implementation, strategic planning of new rapid transit systems including branding and commercialization, financing, procurement strategy/management as well as project agreement development, contract management and new system launch management. Throughout his career, he was regularly part of stakeholder engagement programs and has led multidisciplinary teams that included both internal and external stakeholders. 

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo and is a registered Professional Engineer with PEO and EGBC
