As part of its mandate, TransLink developed its Regional Transportation Strategy (RTS), Transport 2050 to outline the vision and strategies for the region’s transportation system over the next 30 years and set a path to address the challenges of today and tomorrow. The RTS provides clear direction on future priority transportation policies, actions, and investments for TransLink and the region that are resilient, performance-based, and affordable. Access provided support and advice across several work streams, including:

• Strategic framework and RTS document development,

• Best practice review,

• Policy enquiry and development,

• Vision, goals, and objectives (VGO) development, and

• Reconciliation, equity and people-first streets.

The RTS was adopted on January 27, 2022.
